The nearby ski-lift will allow you to access the ski-area of Gastein very easily, offering great possibilities for skiers and surfers alike. The ski-schools are supported by excellent teachers who will gladly help you to improve your technique. It is also possible to go for hikes in the snow-packed landscape with a guide, to make ski-tours or to try snowbiking. This area offers a great variety of outdoor activities! Gaststein is known for its royal residencies and spas. The crystal-clear water, the numerous wellness-centres, the good sports facilities will provide well-being for body and mind. If you are a golf adept, the 18-holes of the Gastein golf club will tempt you: this superb golf course has a great view on the mountains. A stay in a typical Austrian chalet...a valley whit thermal spas scattered throughout... cheese, milk and butter, fresh from the farm...come and experience your dream holdiays in Gastein! Warm water in the chalet is supplied by a steam boiler. You can buy fresh butter, milk and cheese from the neighbouring farm. This newly built holiday house (2007) has been designed in the blockhouse style. The holiday house is comfortable in a rustic style. The predominance of wood confers on it a pleasant atmosphere which will immediately make you feel at home. It is situated in the Bad Hofgastein mountains and has a sunny location offering an unbroken view of the Gasteinertal. The Gasteinertal contains a very beautiful skiing region that always has snow-cover. In addition it has 50 ski lifts and about 200 km of runs for snowboarders as well as skiers. We highly recommend that you should spend a "wellness day" in the holiday houses sauna or swim in the new Bad Hofgastein thermal baths! In summer, the surrounding area is marvellously suited to active holidays. You can also go for walks in the mountains and mountain-bike rides of different levels and you can leave directly from the chalet!
