Hillside appartment in a small farming community with super views south. Located on the sunny hillside with its back to the Katschberg this second floor appartment looks right down the valley towards Gmund. It has three bedrooms - two large rooms for up to 3, each with balcony access and one single room. The kitchen diner has a dishwasher in its newly fitted kitchen and a TV above the dining area. There is a bathroom at each end of the central corridor which links all the rooms. The attractive village of Rennweg is ca. 3km away

3 Birken

Enormous detached house (180 m) just outside the centre of Rennweg, peaceful and sunny location. The comfortable, well furnished accommodation occupies 3 floors and has a balcony. For the children there is a separate play room in the basement with KTV (satellite) and a stereo installation. A minature train stops outside the front door bringing you to the Pollertal nature reserve. Completely enclosed garden sun loungers and a barbeque. Baby buggy at your disposal. Laura

Haus Laura lies 2km from the middle of the traditional, very friendly carinthian mountain village of Rennweg, towards the protected Pölla valley. Completed in 2007, the appartment is comparatively new, but is constantly upgraded. This year (2010) for example the (extremely friendly) owner has installed a skiboot dryer and a closed fireplace. The 2 bedrooms are roomy and comfortable, and the kitchen diner has all mod cons and a flat screne TV. The cherry on the cake is the karaoke bar downstairs complete with large TV, 900 song repertoire and disco lighting. Outside there is the garden, fountain and BBQ. Both the skibus to the Katschberg in winter and the fun train to the Pöllatal in summer stop outside the door. Easily accessed from the motorway and yet quiet and picturesque. As the owner himself puts it - here the world is still in order!

Appartment Irmgard

A recently refurbished appartment between the Katschberg ski area and Lake Milstattersee in the south of Austria. The staircase from the ground floor is sealed for privacy at that level, and the majority of the floors are real wood. Both the master bedrooms have a new balcony, and in the larger of the two a 6th bed can be added comfortably. The single bedroom is also amply sized. The kitchen is fully equipped and modern, and although the bathroom is a little older, many guests will love the bath - especially in winter. Outside there is a pleasant summer sitting area.

Lax

A modern appartment which still feels new inside, situated off the Katschberg road near Rennweg. You have your own private entrance up the stairs, and you share the large garden wih the owner's young family next door. Simply laid out with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen diner and a bathroom, it is perfect for 5 people. The south facing garden is great in the summer, when the scenic Nockberg mountain road, malta dams and Millstattersee are very popular. In the winter it is just over 10 minutes to the superbly laid out Katschberg ski area, and 20 to one of best kept secrets in all of Austria - Innerkrems.

Studio Laura

Budget accomodation for up to 3 people, or ideal for any overspill from the next-door Appartment Laura. A small studio at the back of the house, with 3 beds up the steps, a living room and bathroom. You have access with the other guests to the owner's fun cellar bar, and in summer to the garden and BBQ. The cooking facilities are basic, fairly cramped, and the washing up has to be done in the bathroom, but that aside, the quality of the furnishings is high. Ultimately, at the price - for 2 or particularly 3 people, it would be hard to find better value anywhere in Austria.

Wirnsberg

Newly built (2009) into a sunny hillside outside Rennweg in northern Carithia, this house oozes quality from its massive underfloor heated 500m2 (mostly oak) area. Downstairs the large wellness area boasts 2 saunas, a foot bath and jacuzzi - as well as a ski room with boot warmer in winter. On the ground floor a large 2-sided fireplace seperates the the enormous living-dining room from the corridor to the kitchen and the one downstairs bedroom with en-suite facilities. The kitchen is obviously fully equipped, has an extra-large oven, an instant steamer and a south facing balcony-terrace. Upstairs there are 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. 10 minutes drive from the Katschberg ski area in Winter, and in summer at the foot of the outstandingly beautiful Nockalm massif to the north of the lake district. A ground floor appartment with south facing balcony 1km towards the protected Pöllatal from of the small centre of Rennweg. This one-bedroomed appartment can sleep up to 5 at a push, although 4 is more usual. Floored with old pine throughout, appartment is entered through the kitchen diner. This has a practical space-saving fold-down double box bed or sofa bed, and mains gas cooker. The bedroom accesses the south facing garden and to the side of the house, next to the river is a grassy BBQ area. 5 minutes to the Katschberg in winter, and a similar distance from the strikingly beautiful Pölla valley, this is perfect for stays of 3 nights and upwards

Katschberg

Brand new (2011) appartment in one of the last houses in the valley in the village of Oberdorf. All appliances and furnishings have been installed new, and wireless internet is also available. You enter the appartment into the modern kitchen-diner, which in turn accesses the bedroom and then bathroom. There is a sofa bed by the door in the kitchen which can sleep 2 children, but is too small for 2 adults. The balcony is accessed from the stairs. In winter, the skibus stops outside the door, and in summer, it is a 2km drive to the end of the valley where the fantastic high-alpine hiking trails start.

Johendre

New house located just outside the Rennweg village centre on the way to the scenic Pöllatal valley and 7km to the skiing on the Katschberg. Completed in 2011 and occupying 2 floors, there is a modern quality feel throughout. Centrepiece is the very large kitchen/living/dining room, complete with Austrian Sitzecke and satellite TV - as well as a full range of modern electric appliances (naturally). Underfloor Heating throughout the house, powered by geothermal energy, and with 4 bedrooms, and one bathroom on each floor, this house can sleep up to 8 adults and 2 children in total comfort.
