There's plenty to enjoy in the wonderful Haspengouw region in the south of the Belgian province of Limburg. This comfortable holiday home is number 11 in the attractive small town of Borgloon. It's the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing holiday. The holiday home is suitable for six people. The charming terraced house dates from 1910 and has recently been renovated. The home has every modern convenience. Borgloon is between the towns of Tongeren and Sint-Truiden in the heart of the fertile Haspengouw area. There is a wide network of walking trails, cycle and mountain bike routes to enjoy. Borgloon is an ideal base to discover this beautiful fruit growing region and the Belgian province of Limburg. The Haspengouw region is well known for its sloping landscape and its vast areas of fruit trees. You can visit many ancient castles here including Hex Castle and Genoelselederen Castle. The region becomes an endless sea of blossom in April. Few places in the world can match the amazing spectacle. The region changes again during the cherry harvest in July and during the apple harvest in October. You can visit Hasselt, capital of the province of Limburg, the fruit town of Sint Truiden and Tongeren, the oldest town in Belgium. Tongeren has a Gallo-Roman museum and an antique market on Sunday mornings. The towns are all highly recommended and well worth visiting.
