Walking and cycling you discover the beautiful landscape and the great towns in the region. The garden is ideal in nice weather to reminisce on the day while enjoying a nice drink. Kortessem belongs to the Hainault Fruit region. It is famous for its rolling landscapes, castles (castle van Hex, castle Genoelselederen) and fruit trees. Each year in April the whole region becomes a sea of flowers. A phenomenon that only occurs in a few places in the whole world at that scale. During harvest season from July (cherries) to October (apples) the region again looks surprisingly different. The larger cities Tongeren and Hasselt are easily accessible and suitable for shopping and strolling at the great markets. Relax come to "De Pluktuin"!
