It is the ideal place for those who seek tranquillity amidst attractive countryside. The area is excellent for cycling. A visit to the nearby northern part of France is recommended.

This recently renovated accommodation is in the heart of the charming village of Haringe. The village has just 350 inhabitants. It has an exciting smuggling history which is re-enacted during an annual festival. The hop village of Poperinge is 12 km away and the artist's village of Watou is just 5 km away. The holiday home is an ideal base for a day on the coast. De Panne Beach is just 30 km away. If you prefer an enjoyable day at a theme park with your children, Plopsaland at De Panne and Bellewaerde at Ieper can be reached within a half an hour by car. The historic city of Ieper is well worth a visit. You can visit the In-Flanders-Fields Museum there and the WWI trenches.

`t Lichthuisje

Near the French border, in the artistic and welcoming village of Watou, you will find this terraced house with modern and stylish decoration. Enjoy the fresh air on the terrace or discover the region along the numerous walking- and cycling paths. The many cemeteries, monuments and the Talbot house still bear witness to the 1st World War. Enjoy -often!- a delicious meal in the local restaurants and taverns. Visit Plopsaland with the children (30km) or go to the Belgian coast for the day (35km). Poperinghe is nearby too; the centre of hops, beer and lace.

Ter Hille

This holiday home, located in the art- and poetry village "Watou", is suitable for no less than 16 persons. Bear in mind that the sitting room has 5 places, but the dining room is in the same room and you can all eat together here. From the terrace of the house you have a magnificent view on the rolling Heuvelland. The coast and French Flanders are in the direct proximity. Many cultural activities for a large public are organized here, such as theatre days (Spots op West) and art galleries. Watou is a meeting point for art- and poetry lovers in July and August. Cyclists and walkers will enjoy the cycling paths network, and there are many local cycle rental places. The city Poperinge and the border village Watou offer a wide range of rural restaurants and cosy inns. There are also many sports recreation facilities.
