A small, enclosed private garden and a private terrace will enable you to enjoy your breakfast in the open air. The line 1 underground terminus (Stockel) is about 20 minutes walk from the apartment.

Groenplaats and the Antwerp Cathedral area about 1 km from the apartment and easy to reach on foot. A perfect base for exploring beautiful Antwerp!

Anvers

Located on the outskirts of pleasant Antwerp at approx. 4 km of the historical centre, in a quiet neighbourhood, this charming city house is cosy and very spacious (3 floors). The kitchen is simple and the terrace is not very large, but very cosy. Antwerp has a lot to offer. Shopping and eating out are fabulous, you can visit the oldest zoo of the Benelux or admire the gorgeous architecture. The house is located within walking distance from the famous art deco neighbourhood Zurenborg (ideal for architecture walks with pit stops in one of the many inviting cafes) and not far from the beautiful sculpture garden Middelheim. Brewery de Koninck, with its own pub, is a bit further down the street. The station Antwerpen-Berchem, where numerous trains going to Brussels, Ghent and Breda stop, is in the direct proximity of the house. It means you can go in any direction. Recommended!

Meuleheyveld

At the edge of the town, at a through road is this beautiful detached house with spacious, enclosed garden.The house is situated opposite a windmill, where a guided tour can be arranged (on request) and where you can buy flour and bread. With a bit of luck, the chickens will lay fresh eggs for your breakfast. The garden overlooks a meadow with cows and horses, here you will find rest. In the direct surrounding, you can go hiking and cycling (junction system), drink a pint in one of the many taverns (usually with playground) but naturally you can let yourself be spoilt in the Welnesscentre of Wommelgem (10 km). The beautiful town Antwerp is located within approx. 20 km. For the young ones, there is the attraction park Bobbejaanland (15 km) which is a must. Within less than 8km are the Lilse mountains, a recreation domain for young and old. Visit with your kids the provincial Suske and Wiske museum, the list is endless...!

Dopheide

This simple, comfortable chalet is in an attractive wooded area. It is ideal for lovers of delightful scenery and the perfect place to relax. The chalet has a large wooded garden with two terraces. One terrace has a BBQ and the other is covered. You may see rabbits, squirrels and even deer from the holiday home. The chalet is beside the De Liereman Nature Reserve. This unique, protected area covers 435 hectares and has many rare plants and animals. The visitors centre is highly recommended. This is a wonderful area to enjoy a relaxing break.

Boskant

In a quiet location in the middle of the woods, this atmospheric holiday home. The Westmalle Monastery is nearby, Antwerp and Bobbejaanland (theme park) 20km. A wonderful home for families, and for nature lovers there are 3 major walking routes close by.

Sunparks Kempense Meren

The holiday homes are spread around the park. The 4 persons holiday homes, BE-2400-01 Type A Comfort, are in attached and detached versions. The 6 and 8 persons holiday homes, BE-2400-02/BE-2400-03, Type B Comfort and Type C Comfort, are all detached. The holiday homes are pleasantly furnished. Each home has its own terrace with outdoor table and barbecue. If you want extra comfort and luxury, there are renovated holiday homes with more luxurious interiors. These are BE-2400-22 Type A Comfort +, BE-2400-23 Type B Comfort + and BE-2400-24 Type C Comfort +. These homes each have a childrens bed and high chair. You have access to a charming wooded garden with an area of 2000 m2 and you therefore have all of the silence and space in the world. Retie offers various sights such as De Lindeboom, the Castle of Rethy and the Water Mill of Retie. Hikers and cyclists can also make use of the many cycle and hiking routes in and around Retie to their heart?s content.

Situated along a through road (the glazing was renewed in 2006 to give complete isolation and eliminate outside noise) within 3 km from the historic centre of Mechelen, is this beautiful spacious villa with an enormous garden. Mechelen, one of the most beautiful cities in Flanders, it is unjustly unknown, but in the meanwhile in advance at the tourism. The historic buildings will surprise you; cosy markets with many cafés and restaurants, there are beautiful churches and cathedrals. You can shop endlessly there, and if there is not enough to see in this town, then you can always visit e.g. Antwerp or Brussels (25 km) or even relax in the separate two persons bath. Recommended!

De Drij Poorten

This interesting loft is full of atmosphere. It's on the first floor of the 'Drij Poorten' and is reached by a narrow, exterior spiral staircase. The accommodation is in a quiet location on a dike on the River Scheldt. It is a stones throw from Wintam Lock where the Willebroek Canal joins the Scheldt. The Southern Island Nature Reserve is next to the lock. The reserve is home to a wide variety of birds as well as semi-wild Heck Cattle and Konik Horses. You can have a wonderful time in the Scheldt region and enjoy delightful walks and cycling trips. You'll find a pleasant restaurant with outdoor seating on the ground floor. As well as cycling and walking in this relaxing locale you can also visit one of the area's many historic castles.

Den Overkant

This stylish bungalow is situated in the woods, on the edge of the Kalmthoutse Heide. The holiday home is quite simply but cosily equipped and you will really feel at home. The property measures a total of 3,000 m2 and the owner sometimes stays on the other side of the area. You can enjoy various local restaurants and taverns with playgrounds, take endless cycle rides along the network of cycle pistes or visit the Arboretum or the cities of Antwerp, (40 km), Bergen op Zoom (20 km) or Roosendaal (15 km). Its ideal for nature lovers!

Molenheiden

This apartment is in the centre of Essen. The apartment is full of character, on the second floor and has a lift. The apartment was completed in 2008. It is tastefully furnished and has all modern conveniences. Essen is between the cities of Antwerp (25 km), Breda (30 km), Bergen op Zoom (10 km) and Roosendaal (10 km). The Kalmhoutse heath land is only a stones throw away. It is perfect for walking and cycling. The Bergse Plaat beach at Oosterschelde is only 20 km away.

This charming and atmospheric house radiates tranquillity, space and nature! The interior is nicely furnished and offers accommodation for 5 persons. After a long day of walking, cycling or other great activities in the area, you can enjoy a well earned barbeque in the spacious enclosed garden. You can spend lovely summer evenings with family and friends and let the children play to their hearts content. The Kalmhout Heath is located 3 km away, and the nature area of the Wildert Dunes only 300 metres away. In this area there is also an educational forest path. There are also kilometres of cycling and walking paths through the forest, heath or countryside. The bakers mill with wood fired oven and the steam train are also worth a visit and various taverns and restaurants await your visit. For shopping or a visit to the zoo, Antwerp is easy to reach (approx. 30km).

Holiday home Odyssee is located only a stone"s throw from the famous Arboretum of Kalmthout. At the edge of the heath, by the original back entrance of the arboretum, this cute and quiet villa awaits its guests. This cheery holiday villa, with its rich history, will assure a pleasurable and carefree holiday. The house offers a great deal of privacy, and with its many rooms, it is perfect for families with kids. The immense and quiet garden with vegetable garden, chickens, sheep and beehive is will surely offer fun for all. You can watch your children play while you enjoy a barbecue with family or friends. And in the winter, the large fireplace will make you really feel cozey and warm. The area offers many options for beautiful walks and cycling excursions. In the immediate vicinity you will find the Spike and Suzy Museum, the Bee Museum and the world renowned Arboretum, a wonderful botanical garden. And you shouldn't miss a day out in Antwerp! Kalmthout counts a number of excellent, affordable restaurants. Oh, and please, do not forget to try out the local Turfbier. It is a villa with a rich history dating back to 1919. Hans Christoffel, Swiss-born captain of the Royal Dutch Indian Army (KNIL), the most highly decorated officer in Dutch history, built the house for his retirement, because he wanted some peace and quiet. After his death, the house stood empty for a time before it was sold just before WWII to businessman Joseph Mandel. He turned the villa into a "pleasure house" for officers. After the liberation in 1944, the villa still retained its function for a time. In the 60's, change arrived and Mandel's heirs sold the house to a Doctor Gaston Lefebvre. He was known as a bit strange because of his hobby, collecting minerals. He turned all of the rooms into display cabinets. The present owner acquired it in 1995. It took months to restore the villa to its former glory. She collected everything in a huge bin, shards of shellac gramophone records, old bills, minerals, Indian coins and pieces of old newspaper which provided a glimpse into times past.
