Le petit Canada

A wooden chalet, built in a quiet and favoured environment in the forest and mountains, 1 km from the village. Equipped with every comfort and everything needed by a family. It can accommodate a family and two children or four people and one baby in its separate bedroom for two people and a possible cot, and a mountain cabin with two single beds. The main heating is by electricity controlled via a thermostat. Heating charges are partly covered by the electricity quota included. The extensive forested grounds are divided into two parts, the first part belonging to the owner's chalet, the second fully enclosed part belonging to Le Petit Canada chalet. The two parts are entirely separate. There are no other houses nearby, just the forest. Access to the chalet during the day (except winter) is without going via the owner's property: by parking your vehicle on the verge by the public road in accordance with the direction of traffic, via a wooden gate then a 20 metre path that winds through the trees. La Reine des Pres

In a quiet location in the valley of the Oise and close to the green `heart` of the Thiérache, a pleasant house (80 m2), Extremely pleasant and well cared for house in a beautiful walking, horse riding and cycling area. Les Pommes d`Or

La Thierachienne

Situated higher up in an attractive Thiérache village, a beautiful, extremely well restored farmhouse (70 m2). Attractive and well cared for farmhouse close to woodlands in a very peaceful situation. Very nice biking-routes. Worth visiting: settlement les Ducs de Guis and a large number of settlement churches.

Le Moulin de Chigny

Situated on the river Oise, a beautiful water mill (190 m2), with water wheel. Atmospheric water mill in quiet location in the `Dal van de hardlopers van Etreaupont` and close to the settlement churches of the Oise valley.

Les Roseaux

A former lock keeper house, along a small canal, very well renovated and peacefully situated. Ideal for fishermen (permit required), cyclers of hikers.

La Haie Fondue

Situated in the small village of Proisy, the cottage is a quiet little house, ideal for relaxing. Well-equipped and comfortable, it is just beside the biodiversity school belonging to the owner (tour by appointment). Numerous activities are available in the region: the Dukes of Guise castle, the Godin cooperative, the fortified churches of the Oise Valley, walks, fishing or canoeing-kayaking in the river, etc.

Pont Tournant

Located beside the Sambre Canal in Oise between Guise and Bohain, this comfortably arranged former bridge keepers house awaits you for a fishing holiday. Its privileged position ensures that you will enjoy a holiday in peace and quiet. With the canal in front of the house, youll be able to fish whenever you want without the need to drive anywhere (youll need a permit costing 8 euro/day).

La Jeantelle

A former presbytery (100 m), fully restored in 2005, situated in a peaceful small village in the heart of the beautiful countryside. Its interior is spacious and comfortable. The village of Jeantes has become a remarkable centre for contemporary religious art in Thiérache, thanks to the work of the Dutch painter Charles Eyck, produced in its church in 1962. Apart from a visit to the church, which under no circumstances should be missed, the fortified churches route of the Brune valley can be the starting point for many beautiful excursions. In the surrounding area, there is also St Michel and its beautiful Abbey (16 km), "Ile Verte" water leisure centre in Hirson (18 km), Cascade de Blangny sports centre (kayak, mountain bike, climbing wall, archery, etc. 20 km away), the town of Chimay in Belgium (40 km), etc. Highly recommended!
