Huis Irini

An aristocratic, stately, Greek house, built on family property in the small picturesque typical Greek village of Episkopi, on the northwest coast of Crete. The house stands on a large plot of approx. 400 m2, enclosed by a stone wall and has a beautiful swimming pool. The enormous garden is nicely manicured, has a small herb garden and a wood oven for outdoor cooking or barbequing. The house consists of a lower level and an upper level which are linked by an outdoor staircase. The lower house, 90 m2, offers space for up to 4 persons. This residence has a handmade kitchen, a unique large open fireplace in the living room and 2 bedrooms each with its own bathroom. The upper apartment, 50 m2, has a large light living room and the couches can be turned into beds. In the loft above the living room there is a large double bed. This upper level has its own kitchen and a terrace with a breathtaking view of the mountains. House Irini can be rented as a whole for a max. of 8 persons, but the upper floor can be rented alone for four persons, and the bottom floor remains vacant. The rental price of just the lower residence is then lower. Renting the lower apartment is possible upon request, the owner must indicate if the residence is available or if only the lower residence can be rented for 4 persons. The village of Episkopi is located 34 km to the east of the large old city of Rethymno and in the midst of the Psiloritis mountains and the Kouloukona mountains. Halfway up the large road between Heraklion and Rethymnon, on the west coast of Crete, the road turns into the mountains at Panormo. A winding road with a fantastic view of the surrounding area brings you to Episkopi. It is a beautiful house, very private and quiet, in a breathtaking setting. In the vicinity there is a museum with old crafts.

This charming holiday home has a private terrace and shared swimming pool. The home is in the Milopotamos Valley. It is ideal for nature-lovers and those seeking genuine peace and quiet. The holiday home is full of atmosphere and at an elevation of 600 metres. It is at the foot of the Idage Mountains and near the traditional village of Axos in northern Crete. The comfortable holiday home has handmade wooden furniture, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is particularly suitable for four adults and two children as the living room has two sofa beds measuring 1.80 metres by 70 cm. The roof terrace enjoys a superb view of the mountains. There are two identical homes next to each other in the 8000 m2 grounds. You can enjoy a refreshing swim on warm days in the shared swimming pool. You can also relax on the terraces and in the garden. There is a playing field suitable for football and basketball. You'll enjoy the real Crete at this holiday home. The area is peaceful, quiet and has wonderful walking trails, old churches, monasteries and olive groves. Trips to the Idage Mountains are highly recommended. You can visit typical Cretan villages including Axos, twenty minutes away on foot, Livadia, Zoniana and Kalyvos. The coast with its wonderful quiet resort towns such as Panoramos and Bali is easy to reach in about thirty minutes. The historic city of Rethymnon is about forty five minutes away by car.
