Villa Maroulas

Unique Venetian villa with pool and jacuzzi, situated on a hillside in the beautiful Venetian village Maroulas. The villa is situated on the North coast of Crete, just 3km from the beach and also nearby Rethymnon. The villa was part of a Venetian farm house in the past and has had various functions. The two-storeyed wing still shows the architectural characteristics of the Venetian era. Later on, during Turkish occupation, an olive press was added, which now forms the second wing. Throughout the years the luxurious villa has been renovated with great respect for authentic details and original character of the building and now represents a unique holiday villa with all the comforts of home. The large courtyard has a private swimming pool and the smaller courtyard a jacuzzi (large enough for seven people). Both are cleaned with biological active oxygen. The kitchen offers an espresso machine and a bread machine. In the living room there's a vaulted television room and a hi-tech office space with PC, WIFI internet, giant screen (3.5m x 3m) for watching movies etc. Plenty of material available for babies and young children. The villa is located in the heart of the village but the high walls offer peace and privacy. The large roof terrace provides a beautiful panorama over the village ,sea and the countryside. At an easy travel distance from the villa you can discover sunny Crete and its cultural history, beaches and mountains. Some of the best beaches on the North Coast you will find at 3km. The quiet village Maroulas is situated at an altitude of 150 metres and is listed for its historical monuments as Venetian towers and beautiful authentic alleys where visitors can stroll. Villa Kostas

Villa Kostas is an authentic large Greek house built of stone. The house is located around a courtyard with exotic tall trees and has a private swimming pool with a separate childrens pool, a pond and a separate BBQ area in the corner of the garden. This house is 200 years old and was recently very tastefully renovated. The property is walled so that life is lived on the interior of this house. The hosue as a staircase on the other side in the garden which takes you to a separate studio. The garden is beautiful, almost a small paradise. There are lounge chairs and parasols Food is mostly prepared on the BBQ. The BBQ space has a large covered seating area where you can all enjoy a meal together. This house is ideal for a large family or for multiple families together. Villa Kostas is located in the small hamlet of Giannoudi, with only 20 residents, located on a hill 4.5 km from the larger town of Rethymnos. The beautiful sandy beach, the shops and many tavernas are 2.5 km from the village. Note: The head space in one of the shower rooms is not suitable for tall people.
