This farmhouse is located in the centre of the picturesque village Grolloo, in the centre of Drenthe. The holiday home is located in the front house of this accommodation. The woody region with wide heaths is perfect for long walks and cycling trips, but also for swimming in one of the many wood lakes. Other leisure facilities are for example the traffic park in Assen, the Dolmen museum in Borger, outdoor museum Orvelte, former camp Westerbork and of course the city Groningen.

De Cronehoeve

This free standing holiday home is located in Vredenheim, Drente. The apartment is comfortable and provides magnificent views of the rural surroundings. In summer the horses graze in the fields adjacent to the back garden. ?Freedom and tranquillity? are the key words for a holiday in this apartment. The apartment's decoration is contemporary with a striking red kitchen. The house is a good base from which to explore Drenthe. Walking, cycling or swimming in the various forest lakes, it is all possible here. And you should not miss a visit to the Boomkroonpad (Tree top path) (approx. 10 km) ; a true experience for young and old alike. Rather some culture? Visit the Hunebeddenmuseum in Borger, Open air museum Orvelte or the former camp Westerbork. Car racing fanatics will find what they need in Assen, the circuit is only a 20 minutes' car drive away from the house. And a visit to the city of Groningen is also well worth it!

Hof van Saksen

The attractive Saxon farmhouses are grouped around delightful, tree-lined village greens. While the architecture is inspired by the past, the farmhouses are equipped with every modern convenience. You can choose a six-person farmhouse, NL-9449-01, a six-person farmhouse equipped for children, NL-9449-02, a four-person farmhouse equipped for children, NL-9443-03, and a four-person farmhouse, NL-9449-04. The farmhouses are full of atmosphere and have plenty of living space. Each farmhouse has a gas fired fireplace. You can enjoy all the warmth and comfort of a wood fire but without the fuss. The interiors have been designed with great care and finished with materials of the highest quality. The farmhouses have oak floors and very comfortable furniture throughout. The Siematic kitchen is equipped with every modern convenience. These include a dishwasher and a combination microwave oven. As the bedrooms are on the first floor, there is a large living room and dining room. Your stay at Hof van Saksen is carefree from the very beginning. Upon arrival you will find neatly made beds. At Hof van Saksen, bed linen, towels and kitchen utensils are provided as standard. This means that you can start enjoying your holiday right away. Every farmhouse has its own enclosed terrace. Most have a storage shed which is large enough for bicycles. The shed is accessible from inside the house. The bungalow is installed for 4 persons, and is simple but comfortable. With lots of space and privacy around the house where you can enjoy nature and the tranquil surroundings. The decoration and layout of the accommodations can differ from each other (and the picture).

De Leemstee

The Leemstee is an atmospheric residence in a thatched farm in the unspoilt village of Eext. The farmhouse was recently renovated with the 17th century cross beams becoming visible again. The light streams through a roof window to the heart of the farmhouse in the new, original hall and bathrooms. All walls are covered in loam stucco in warm earthly tones. The region of Eext is ideally suited for the walking and cycling fans. Within a range of ten kilometres there are many villages with open fields, heaths and woods. The city of Groningen with its many museums, galleries and trendy shops is within easy reach.

Zwienhemmen

The Peerdestal is a guesthouse on the premised of a farm. The furnishing is cosy and has a Provencal tinge. Not clean and stiff, but one where the wrinkles of the past is still visible. There is a possibility for the stables of your horse (s) and a trough is available. If you are a guest of ours, then Berthe and Selle, two jet-black baroque Frisian horses are your neighbours. Drenthe offers almost unknown possibilities for those who want to get rid of the hectic life. Drenthe is famous for the hunebeds. Less known are the centuries old grave mounds, which you will find within 2km in the beautiful Zwane Lake, woods and the Celtic field close to the Baloër field. You can cycle, via the nature area with its shell paths, discover the Hunzer dale and have a look how the rivulet the Hunze, along its banks small sand beaches, has re found its old flow. Drenthe is also prominently a hiking province. The Drenthe path runs e.g. within 2km from here and the renowned Pieter path intersect the stream dale landscape of the Drent Aa . Canoeing, as well as on the Hunze as the Drent Aa, belongs to the possibilities as well as making fantastic outdoor trips by horse, because even for your noble four footer there is a stable available. Do you rather enjoy golf more? The 18 holes rich golf area The Semslanden can be found within 10km. The bubbling student town Groningen is within 20 min. by car from here and further there are various museums, the cosy markets, etc. etc. As you can understand, you can do anything you feel for. Less suitable for guest with (horse-)allergies.

Huize Tergast

This former mayor?s residence was built in 1905 and is located in the centre of the Drenthe village of Gasselternijveen, between the forested landscape of Drenthe and the lowlands of the peat colonies. The residence is completely restored keeping the many stylistic elements from the Art Nouveau period. The house radiates the old, distinguished atmosphere of the period, with beautiful warm colours, lovely ornamental ceilings and marble fireplaces. You will be transported back to the 1900's. The English garden (4400 m2) radiates relaxation with the hundred year old trees and the beautiful peat moor. The house has all of the 21st century comforts in addition to the authentic elements. Thus you can relax in comfort in the hot tub in the garden, but also in the sauna and in the heated pool (6.40 m x 4 m), which have been installed in what was previously the coach house. The bedrooms are decorated in the style of the ?old? Dutch masters. Each room has as its theme one painter and his repertoire. You will find reproductions and books on the relevant painter in the rooms. The environment offers many options for young and old; a plethora of nature, culture and cities such as Groningen (35 km), Emmen (29 km) and Assen (25 km). In short, a veritable recommendation! EXTRA INFORMATION: The residence is accessible for the disabled. On the ground floor there is a bedroom and a bathroom which is suitable for wheelchairs. The residence is allergy friendly.
