It is perfect for cyclists and walkers. There are interesting historic castles in the area which are worth visiting. The nearby village has an indoor playground and two swimming pools.

About 16km away you will find the charming city of Roermond, with a rich cultural history, a charming shopping district and a unique location on the Maasplassen water sports area. Real shopping enthusiasts can shop to their hearts' content in the many boutiques of the popular Designer Outlet Centre. The 'white town' of Thorn (20 km) with its cosy courtyards and cobbled streets is certainly worth a visit.
