Steenwijkerwold lies 6 km. north-west of Steenwijk. The marvellous nature area The Weerribben lies at only 4 km. and also the touristic Giethoorn is nearby. A great environment for biking or walking. This large house of the semi detached type, is situated in the centre of the village Steenwijkerwold. You have your own entrance, the owners live in the part next to it. The house has been entirely renovated in 2003; as a result of which you have a new kitchen with all possible built-in equipment and a luxurious bathroom. Fenced garden (100 m)with terrace and garden furniture.

You have your own entrance and a private piece of garden and covered terrace. The living-kitchen is completely new and modern and besides that, you can nicely relax in the sauna after a day of biking or hiking.

There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, with one suitable for disabled guests and one with an old-fashioned bed. There are three bedrooms upstairs, one slightly smaller, and a spacious sauna! From the living room you access a separate TV/children's room. Upstairs there are four spacious bedrooms. State is located in the fields, on the edge of the forest and has its 'own' play field and private terrace. There is a car park for twenty cars in total in the forest between the two cottages. De Arendshorst

Steenwijk is located at the head of Overijssel. On the wet westside this picturesque town borders on the water region of Giethoorn and the Weerribben. On the dry eastside you will find the nature areas De Woldberg and De Eese. In this area of 1500 ha. you will see forests, heaths, fields, charming farmhouses and a small castle. You will find three cottages in this fabulous region: De Arendshorst, De Valkenhorst and De Eikenhorst. De Arendhorst is a cosy house with 2 floors, equipped for 15 persons. There are three bathrooms, one at the upper floor and two downstairs. In the middle of the room there is a cosy open fire. Of course there is enough seating room both in the dining- and the living area. De Valkenhorst

There is a large bathroom with bath, shower, wash basin and toilet and a second bathroom with shower and wash basin. De Valkenhorst is spacious and offers a large hall and a spacious living room. There is also a 25m veranda. This cottage also offers a sunny and sheltered terrace. This house is ideal for family celebrations. This house is often rented in combination with the six-person bungalow located between "De Arendshorst" and "De Valkenhorst". De Eikenhorst

There are 7 bedrooms with 20 beds in total. This house has 3 bathrooms, two adapted for wheelchair users. De Eikenhorst is very spacious. The living room is 80 m2 and there is a veranda of 40 m2. This house is ideal for reunions or family celebrations. There is a spacious car park in front of the house. Behind and next to the house there is a large lawn, with enough space for a game of badminton or to kick a ball around. Vakantiehuis Gi Jo

This holiday house is located in the typical village Giethoorn, at the top of the Overijssel. Its location directly by the water allows you to fully enjoy this water rich region. There are three rowing boats at your disposal which allow you to explore the region. Giethoorn is known for its many narrow canals, bridges and picturesque farms and has a lot to offer at recreational and relaxation level. You can make a round trip on the canals, or even rent a "whispering boat". Or if you prefer to go sailing, surfing or canoeing, you are in the right place. The region of Giethoorn offers many opportunities to enjoy the peace and quiet in nature, or water fun, or walking and cycling. This holiday farm apartment is perfectly suited for family reunions and other celebrations. The children will have a good time too on the playground, with a slide, a trampoline, a swing and a volley ball net. In short : truly recommended ! Other information: There are two 5-burner gas ovens and two fridges. The home owner lives on the same yard, in the farm behind the holiday home.

This characteristic charming residential farm is located near the Wieden nature reserve in Wanneperveen. The renovated farm is located on a plot of nearly 9000m2, consisting of a garden, meadow and forests. The home is very spacious and luxuriously furnished and has a wellness and relaxation room with a sauna and hot tub. From the back of the farm you have a beautiful wide view of the lands and water toward the beautiful nature area around Giethoorn. The Weerribben-Wieden national park at the top of Overijssel is certainly worth a visit. It is the largest continuous low fen marsh in north-western Europe with many flora and fauna. Get on your bike, in the boat or put on your walking shoes and explore the forest, reed and water landscapes which are plentiful in this region. Characteristic Giethoorn is about 8 km away in is known for its many small canals, bridges and picturesque farms. Giethoorn also has a great deal of recreation and relaxation to offer. The wider area also offers a great deal of pleasure, such as the old fortified town of Steenwijk, with many canals and city walls. The town of Meppel, with its rich commercial past is certainly worth a visit. There are many monumental buildings and the Great Church with its 15th century towers.
