A linked two under one roof house, situated in the peaceful canal village Sluiskil. You can see big and small (sea) ships daily sailing through the canal from Gent to Terneuzen within a short distance. Due to its location in the Dutch Flanders, Sluiskil is an ideal base of operation for a beach holiday (Breskens, Cadzand 35 min.), cultural holiday (Hulst 20min., Antwerp 35min., Gent 30min., Brugge 45min.) or an active holiday, because of the many hiking and cycling paths in (Dutch) Flanders. It is surely possible even for relaxation; the house has a screened terrace and a big garden with a firm barbeque and play equipment for the children. Your car can be parked safely in the private garage.

This holiday house is a good starting point for a day to the beach(30km), or to one of the cities; Antwerp, Gent and Brugge. There are also many possibilities for cyclists and hikers. The Appelgaard Farmhouse is in the village of Zaamslag. The village is set in the polder landscape of the Province of Zeeland. This traditional farm dates from 1690. It was completely renovated in its original style in 1997. Wonderful details such as 19th century friezes and original tiled and wooden floors adorn the house. Zaamslag is in a very convenient position. It is just 3 km from the town of Terneuzen. You can enjoy canoeing on the nearby river Kreek and visit towns such as Sluis and Knokke. The area is excellent for walking and cycling. You can enjoy a delightful country holiday here surrounded by fruit trees.
