Lanary Oast

A superb newly converted Oast House in a peaceful and rural location, yet less than 5 miles from Ashford. Tucked away at the rear of the owners' grounds with separate drive and gardens, this excellent holiday home has something for everyone. This is wonderful walking country with many footpaths leading to the Saxon Shore Way; local pubs are in Bilsington ( 1.5 miles) and another 1 mile distant. An ideal location for visiting the many castles, gardens, historic houses, National Trust properties as well as zoos and family attractions and only a 1 hour journey to London from Ashford by train (and very close to the Eurotunnel terminal). This lovely holiday home enjoys maximum sunshine from all angles and has pleasant views to the surrounding fields. The grounds are laid to lawn with hedges and some trees at the perimeters. On your arrival you will receive a welcome package.

Horton Cott Annexe

Horton Cottage is located down a peaceful country lane, surrounded by fields and paddocks with many footpaths and walks - the North Downs Way is within easy reach, as well as local villages with pubs. Cycling, golf courses and riding schools are all available within the area. the charming sitting room with its woodburning stove is very cosy and warm for those chilly autumn and winter evenings. Remark: Poor mobile phone reception.

The Bothy

The Bothy is a delightful rural retreat, surrounded by pastures and woodland adjacent to Hemsted Forest. The beautifully restored detached cottage is cloaked in ivy and clematis and situated on a small, peaceful, working farm enjoying lovely views of the surrounding countryside. On hot summer days when you have tired of sitting in your sun trap patio - the climate control air conditioning in the cottage is a welcome relief! Despite its secluded location The Bothy is close to the picturesque country towns of Cranbrook and popular Tenterden with its varied mix of restaurants, shops, pubs, coffee shops and leisure centre. Ideally situated for visiting the many National Trust houses and gardens.

Birling House Apartment

For nearly 600 years the Nevill family has owned land in and around Birling - a quiet little village located in An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near the county town of Maidstone. Birling Manor, built by the Hon Rev William Nevill in the 1830's was just across the valley from Birling House - which was a home for his son. Unfortunately the Manor was destroyed by fire in 1917 and so only Birling House now remains. A superb example of Victorian architecture - the house has been sensitively renovated by the current owners and the penthouse apartment definitely has the wow! factor. Great views across the village rooftops to the fields and woods beyond - a short stroll to the village pub and only a five minute drive to the historic market town of West Malling with plenty of good restaurants, pubs and specialist shops. Many National Trust properties and gardens are within very easy reach as is London by road or train.

Munday Garden Cottage

Munday Garden Cottage is a beautiful 17th Century detached barn conversion in the immaculate grounds of Munday Manor - a fine example of a quintessentially English country house. Full of character with masses of original beams, inglenook fireplace and oak floors the cottage has been furnished with great care including many antiques and finished to a very high standard. Next to the cottage is a private terrace where you can sit back, relax and enjoy the views over the moated island to the fields.This is a brilliant base for exploring all of Kent and with Ashford International station minutes away you can venture further afield to London or France too.
