Kent Bridge Croft

This very pretty and excellently presented annexe of a country cottage, is set in a lovely rural and tranquil location overlooking a paddock and woods, yet is a very short drive from Hawkhurst which has some excellent shops and a luxurious cinema. This is a very good base for exploring the surrounding countryside where there are many wonderful historic gardens, stately homes and castles including Pashley Manor, Bedgebury Pinetum and Bodiam Castle.

Park Farm Chalet Hawkhurst

Park Farm Chalet is located on a working livestock farm in a peaceful and rural environment, yet is only 4 miles from the picturesque town of Cranbrook. It is a recently refurbished farm property located within the grounds of the farmhouse, with farmland surrounding and wildflower meadows. There are many footpaths, bridle ways and quiet lanes to explore, yet not far away you can shop for some wonderful local produce (the owners of this cottage supply and own a butchers shop in Hawkhurst). This is a perfect base for visiting the many castles, gardens, National Trust properties and historic houses easily reached within a short drive from this delightful holiday home. Staplehurst station is approx 15 minutes away with a service to London or the coast. ATTENTION!! The twin beds are only 2'6" wide so only suitable for children!

Barnfield House

Barnfield House is a very special place - set in wonderful grounds of over two acres with glorious views across fields and woods, offering beautifully furnished, gracious family accommodation. The house is situated on the outskirts of the Kent village of Hawkhurst - famous for its feared Gang of Smugglers from 1735 to 1749. Drink at the same pub as they did - The Oak and Ivy Inn, still thriving today! The village has a white weather boarded colonnade of speciality shops, "Kino" a digital cinema with cafe and a variety of restaurants and pubs. Its central location means this is a brilliant base for touring all over Kent and Sussex. Trains to London and Hastings from Etchingham - five miles.
