Pentrebach

Pentrebach Cottage is a traditional stone cottage with a new well built additional wing. The cottage is situated in a very peaceful valley between Llandovery and Halfway on the western side of the National Park, an ideal location for those wishing particularly to be close to the newly designated Fforest Fawr Geopark, the first in Wales. The Forestry Commission have set up the excellent Crychan Forest Trails that also join up with The Eppynt Way, thus giving 65 km. of walking and mountain bike trails. From the cottage there are walks up into the surrounding hills.

Teifi

Teifi Cottage is one of a small group of cottages outside the hamlet of Trapp ? it was originally the dairy to a farm on the great Dinefor Estate; The cottage has recently been renovated and is now a warm and comfortable picture postcard cottage, a courtyard garden in the front and a large lawn with flower beds behind the cottage. There is an excellent pub in the village of Trapp, recently voted Best Kept Village in the county only a few minutes walk away. The Beacons Way Footpath passes close by with the magnificent scenery of the castle perched above on the craggy outcrop and the nearby ridges and cairns. Red kites are regularly seen flying overhead and there is a fishing lake close by. There is a cave under the castle, open to the public and which children just love to explore. Carreg Cennen Castle is less than a mile from the cottage and 4 miles from Llandeilo (open every day except Christmas Day). There is a Craft Shop, Tea Rooms and the Farm, with magnificent Long Horn Cattle and some rare breed sheep and horses.

Cwmgwyn Farm

This beautifully designed and furnished cottage is on the upper level of the 17th Century barn (with storage for bicycles underneath) and is reached up interior Welsh slate stone stairs with oak banisters. Cwmgwyn Farm Cottage has been recently restored to a very high standard retaining all the original oak beams, complemented by the Welsh Oak floor, traditional "brace and latch" doors and the original stonework. This 200 acre farm is in red kite country, and is bordered by the River Towy with a mile of trout and salmon fishing on both banks (to be discussed with the owner). Llandovery is approximately 2 miles. The owner also does Bed and Breakfast in the farmhouse if friends or family wish to join guests for a couple of days. Notes: Not suitable for children under the age of 4 years due to slate steps.

Penrhyn Barn

This beautifully renovated 16th century barn sits in an isolated wonderful valley on the bank of the river Towy with over 1/2 mile of private fishing and enjoys a spectacular location close to the pretty village of Rhandirmwyn, in the Upper Towy Valley. Explore the spectacular scenery of the Upper Towy Valley and Cambrian Mountains from the doorstep. The steeply wooded valleys, waterfalls and rivers of this area are stunning and known to the locals as 'little Switzerland.' The Upper Towy Valley is a gateway to the Cambrian Mountains which is a vast unspoilt rugged landscape that stretches down the spine of Wales. Visitors to Penrhyn can meander along serene, tranquil valleys and not meet a soul, or trek across open hill and moorland and find utter solitude. This amazing scenery can be explored from the doorstep.
