This exquisite little apartment is in the most marvellous location, tucked away behind the 14th century village church with a pub renowned for its food at the end of the lane. Newenden is a very historic village - the first mention of cricket referred to a game played there around 1300 and it was an important river port until the beginning of the 16th century, when there were sixteen taverns of which freehouse -The White Hart - is the last survivor. Take a trip to Bodiam Castle - by ex-Royal Navy lifeboat from Newenden leaving from the bridge by the village green, or hire a rowing boat! Tenterden with its great range of shops, restaurants and famous Chapel Down Vineyard are only six miles away and Rye only a short drive. Set in a three acre smallholding means you can also experience real country life helping the owner with the rare breed Herdwick and Jacob sheep, chickens, turkeys, quail, geese and in the spring, weaner pigs - so - the welcome pack is really made up of local produce!
