Sit and watch the ducks, feed the carp and rudd, await the visiting nuthatches, woodpeckers, the occasional kingfisher and admire the owners horses in the paddock beyond in this wonderfully tranquil setting. Historic Steyning with its 125 listed houses - many timber framed of Tudor and Stuart origin and its four pubs - is just over 3 miles and the coast at Shoreham-by-Sea is only 6 miles away. There are many footpaths in the area including the South Downs Way.
