Nothing beats the satisfaction of growing your own delicious salad potatoes! 50% bigger than other salad varieties Charlotte has tender pale-yellow flesh wonderful flavour whether hot or in cold and is great for roasting or boiling. These potatoes are also easy to grow too.

Planting times are dependent on weather soil and regional variations but generally between March and early May. It is not necessary to sprout (chit) your potatoes but the formation of sprouts over several weeks gives faster initial growth and earlier crops.
Most importantly you should protect emerging shoots from frosts by carefully drawing soil over the shoots
