Can-O-Worms has four layers the top layer you add kitchen scraps which the worms eat and produce compost. A tight fitting lid is included which will keep pests out and keep the wormery relatively dry. If you are planning to keep the wormery outdoors you may want to think about a weatherproof cover. The base layer is the collector tray and is raised off the ground with 4 sturdy legs and a valve for drainage. The worms start off in the bottom tray and work their way up to the scraps through tiny holes making compost leaving their waste behind for you to collect in the lower base layer.

The worms will then live in the middle trays and eat the scraps providing compost and liquid fertiliser you can also drain off the liquid from the bottom tray using the valve and dilute 10 parts water to one part liquid and use as a natural plant food. The worms reach maturity after about 10 weeks and will continue to breed provided they have enough food are kept at the right temperature and do not become too overcrowded.

Composting worms are maintenance free and as long as you keep adding scraps it will continue to work. The Can-0-Worms can be kept indoors or outside near the backdoor or in a sheltered spot in the garden. It is important that when you receive your wormery you assemble it as soon as you can to ensure the worms survival.

A Wormery is an easy efficient system of converting food waste into liquid feed and rich organic compost through the natural action of worms. The Wormery is divided up into a number of chambers one of which houses the worms. Drop your daily kitchen waste into the bin the worms feed on the food waste and convert it into concentrated liquid feed and Bio-rich organic compost.

The wormery can handle ordinary kitchen waste such as peelings cooked and uncooked scraps teabags eggshells paper kitchen towels even shredded newspaper etc. It will produce a strong nutrient rich liquid feed which you dilute with water prior to use as an excellent plant food for house plants garden flowers shrubs vegetables or as a lawn feed and a rich organic compost.

This grey 95 litre bin is made from recyclable tough polyethylene and comes with various different ingredients such as worms worm bedding special lime mix and separating platform. Full instructions are also included.

It has a lockable hinged lid and can be used both indoors and outdoors. And you do not have to worry about the smell as the waste is consumed by the worms when decomposed.
