Cerinthe major 8216;Purpurascens 8217; Part of the Alan Titchmarsh Collection 3 x 5cm potted plants
NEW in 2012This unusual little plant is one of my garden favourites; and you can always track it down in the garden by listening for the sound of buzzing bees. It's easy to grow too; at home in most soils and producing sprays of electric-blue, metallic blooms, which ‘drip’ with purple florets. Cerinthe major ‘Purpurascens’ is a real stunner. And if you want to impress your neighbours, this will certainly give them something to talk about. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 30cm (12"). Alan Titchmarsh tip - "If you have always played it safe, then take the plunge and be more adventurous."
